The Role

We’re looking for a Software Developer who builds with AI every day. You’ll design, build and ship features across theBOSSapp, from new modules to custom work for customers, with AI coding tools at the centre of how you work.

AI is a core part of how our team builds software. We use AI coding agents every day to plan, write, test and review code.



We need developers who already work this way and have a solid grounding in software development to back it up. You’ll know how to get outstanding results from AI tools and, just as important, when the output isn’t good enough.

What you’ll do

- Design, build, test and maintain features across web and mobile
- Use AI coding tools and agents throughout your daily work, from planning and scaffolding to testing and refactoring
- Turn customer problems into clean, reliable, well-tested code
- Review code, whether written by AI or by people, with a sharp eye for quality, security and maintainability
- Share what works and help shape how the team builds with AI
- Troubleshoot and resolve issues in production

What you’ll bring

- Degree in computer science, software engineering or a related field, or equivalent experience
- 1+ years of commercial software development experience
- Hands-on experience using AI coding tools (e.g. Claude Code, Cursor, Copilot, Codex) in real development work
- Skills in PHP and Laravel, React and TypeScript, and MySQL (or a similar stack, and keen to learn ours)
- Solid software fundamentals: architecture, testing, debugging and writing maintainable code
- Experience building and consuming REST APIs
- Familiarity with AWS and Git
- The judgement to know when to trust AI output and when to dig in yourself
- Curious, practical and keen to keep up with how AI is changing software development
- Clear communicator who enjoys working in a team

Highly regarded

- Experience giving AI agents larger, multi-step tasks, and setting up the context, rules and guardrails that make them work well
- Experience with SaaS or operations software
- Mobile app development experience
- Experience with Docker and CI/CD pipelines
