The ideal candidate will be available for an IMMEDIATE start and will be responsible for working cross-functionally to understand architecture needs by multiple business units. To be effective in this position, you must feel comfortable owning the entire architecture development process from inception to completion. This role is entirely on‑site, with all hours required to be worked from the CBD location.

Project Requirements The Agency currently uses BPoint and CommWeb, supported by an inhouse Payment Gateway application using messaging orchestrated through their Enterprise Service Bus, to manage payments, refunds, and receipts for a number of key commercial business functions the current solution uses CBA hosted payment pages and overnight batch reconciliation through daily file exchanges. Expected payment data is sent to BPoint for validation, with payment results returned the following day for reconciliation in downstream systems. Refunds are processed manually through the BPoint Merchant interface using the Payment Gateway refund reports.

Additional inflight business projects have identified a requirement for real-time payment processing and reconciliation capabilities, which are not supported by the current batch-based model and are outside the scope of the existing solution.

Solution Architect services are required for the discovery phase (4 months) of this project to undertake detailed architecture assessment and delivery planning to determine the preferred migration approach and costs.





The expected outcomes of the analysis and discovery phase for application and integration changes include:

- Detailed breakdown of impacted technology components, including forms/ web sites, applications and integrations.
- Gap analysis between current functionality and the new functionality in Connected Payments platform.
- Summary of application and integration changes required to migrate the agency to the recent platform, including design documentations like High Level Solution Architecture (HLSA)

Expected outcomes of the analysis and discovery phase for analysis of real time payments and Enterprise Service Bus (ESB) replacement):

- Design of new Application Programming Interface (API) payment services to replace ESB services.
- Scope the remediation of payment gateway to use new API services.
- Scope the addition of API services to support real time payments.

Responsibilities

- Lead architecture initiatives from inception to completion
- Collaborate with business users to create architecture in alignment with business need
- Act as a technical subject matter expert for business users
- Champion the adoption of reusable architecture assets to improve efficiency
- Produce documentation to aid in the understanding of existing architecture solutions

Qualifications

- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or Mathematics
- 5+ years' of relevant experience
- Advanced knowledge of leading architecture solutions in the industry area
- Strong interpersonal and collaboration skills
- Ability to demonstrate technical concepts to non-technical audiences
