SDS is seeking an experienced health care professional and qualified Trainer and Assessor to join our Training Services team on a full-time basis, with an immediate start.

You will deliver and assess pre-hospital health care training, including the HLT41120 Certificate IV in Health Care, along with first aid and other related courses.

Combining classroom learning with realistic practical scenarios, you will help participants develop the knowledge, clinical skills and confidence to provide care in challenging environments.

National travel is a requirement of this role, including interstate travel and overnight stays to deliver training at client sites and training locations across Australia.

Your responsibilities will include

- Delivering engaging, practical training to participants with varying levels of experience.
- Conducting fair and thorough assessments and providing constructive feedback.
- Creating realistic clinical scenarios that connect learning to workplace practice.
- Supporting learners through face-to-face training and online learning requirements.
- Maintaining accurate, timely assessment records using our training and assessment systems.
- Preparing and maintaining training equipment and ensuring secure learning environments.
- Contributing to learning resource reviews, assessment validation and continuous improvement.
- Maintaining your clinical currency, vocational competencies and professional development.
- Travelling nationally to support scheduled courses and client training requirements.

About You

You are approachable, organised and passionate about developing others. You can explain clinical concepts clearly, adapt your teaching to different learning needs and maintain a supportive environment while upholding assessment standards.

We are looking for someone with:

- Relevant qualifications in paramedicine,



pre-hospital health care or a related field, supported by competencies relevant to the courses delivered.
- Demonstrated recent clinical experience in pre-hospital, emergency, ambulance, remote or similar health care settings.
- A Certificate IV in Training and Assessment (TAE40116 or equivalent).
- Experience delivering and assessing nationally recognised training, ideally in health care or first aid.
- Strong communication skills and the ability to provide clear, constructive feedback.
- A commitment to safe practice, quality training and positive learner outcomes.
- The willingness and ability to travel nationally, including overnight stays and periods away from home.
