Role Description The Upwork Bidding Specialist role at AFUM is a full time, on-site position based in the Greater Perth Area. The specialist will be responsible for identifying relevant Upwork projects, analyzing client requirements, and preparing tailored proposals that align with AFUM’s solutions in messaging, automation, CRM, and storefronts. Day-to-day tasks include managing and updating the Upwork profile, writing persuasive bids, coordinating with technical and sales teams to refine estimates and scopes,



and tracking bid performance to improve win rates.

The role also involves maintaining a pipeline of opportunities, following up with potential clients, and documenting insights on market trends and client needs to inform AFUM’s business development strategy.

Qualifications

- Experience with online freelancing platforms (preferably Upwork), including project search, proposal drafting, client communication, and opportunity tracking.
- Strong written communication and business writing skills, with the ability to create clear, persuasive, and tailored proposals for diverse client requirements.
- Background or familiarity with digital products and services such as CRM systems, marketing automation, AI chatbots, or multi-channel messaging solutions.
- Analytical and research skills to assess project feasibility, estimate effort and budget ranges, and identify high-value opportunities.
- Good organizational and time-management abilities, including maintaining bid calendars, prioritizing opportunities, and working to deadlines.
- Comfort collaborating with sales, technical, and operations teams to gather project details and align proposals with delivery capabilities.
- Prior experience in sales support, lead generation, or business development is highly beneficial.
- Relevant education or training in business, marketing, communications, or a related field is an advantage.
