The Prospect

2 x Permanent Full Time Roles

MidCoast Council is seeking two Works Planners to join our Transport Operations team in Taree and help coordinate the safe and efficient delivery of civil maintenance works across the MidCoast region.

These practical planning and coordination roles will help ensure field crews have the information, resources, materials and support they need to deliver quality maintenance outcomes for the community.

Working closely with field staff, coordinators, suppliers, contractors and internal teams, you will plan upcoming works, maintain documentation, monitor progress and respond to issues as they arise.

In this role, you will:

- Plan civil maintenance works, including labour, plant, materials and traffic control requirements.
- Develop and maintain work programs and schedules aligned with service targets.
- Prepare cost estimates and assist with budget forecasting and maintenance programs.
- Coordinate service locations, materials, equipment, contractors and suppliers.
- Prepare and maintain JSAs, risk assessments, management plans and work documentation.
- Monitor works, support quality assurance and help resolve issues.
- Work with internal teams and field staff to improve service planning and delivery.
- Provide professional customer service to the community and internal stakeholders.

What you'll bring
- Qualifications in civil construction or a related field, or equivalent relevant experience.
- Experience planning and coordinating civil, maintenance or field operations.
- Knowledge of WHS, risk management,



quality assurance and environmental requirements.
- Experience preparing work programs, estimates, schedules or operational documentation.
- Strong organisational, communication and problem-solving skills.
- Confidence working with contractors, suppliers, field crews and internal stakeholders.
- Experience using digital systems such as asset management, GIS or scheduling software.
- A current Class C Driver Licence.

Salary: Commencing salary circa $89,400 - $98,300p.a. plus superannuation. (dependent on skills and experience)

A vehicle arrangement will be made with the successful candidate for this role. Council will provide you with a leaseback vehicle for an annual fee calculated as 20% of the gross purchase price. This is a fully maintained vehicle for both business and full private use with no additional expenses in normal use.

Location: This position will be based at MidCoast Councils Taree Depot, at Arkwright Crescent, Taree. You may also be required to be based from other Council sites across the MidCoast Council region.

Tenure: Permanent, Full Time.
