The remuneration for the role is $75,000 – $85,000 per annum, exclusive of superannuation, together with compulsory superannuation and any penalty rates, overtime and allowances payable under the Building and Construction Award [MA000020]. Task & responsibilities About the role We are seeking a skilled and detail-oriented Estimator to join our team on a full-time, ongoing basis.

Working closely with management, the successful applicant will review project requirements, interpret engineering drawings and specifications, prepare accurate cost estimates, and develop quotations for materials, labour, equipment and other project expenses across a diverse range of projects.

This role requires strong analytical and organisational skills, attention to detail, and the ability to assess project costs accurately to support competitive pricing and effective project planning. Key duties and responsibilities • Interpret engineering drawings,



work orders and job specifications to establish material, dimension and finishing requirements for each job. • Prepare detailed cost estimates for luxury renovation projects • Complete material take-offs from architectural and structural drawings • Review plans, specifications and engineering documentation • Build and maintain BOQs and trade packages • Obtain and compare subcontractor pricing • Identify cost risks and value engineering opportunities • Track variations and cost movements during pre-construction • Assist with procurement scheduling • Improve our estimating systems and processes Qualification & experience Skills and experience required • AQF Associate Degree, Advanced Diploma or Diploma (ANZSCO Skill Level 2) • Strong English communication (written and verbal) • Minimum 3+ years estimating experience in residential construction • Experience with renovations (not just new builds) • Solid understanding of Australian construction method (highly regarded) • Proficiency in: o Bluebeam / Wunderbuild (or similar) • Excel (advanced level – formulas, pivot tables, cost analysis) • Ability to read and interpret: o Architectural drawings o Structural drawings o Joinery details o Specifications • High attention to detail (we work in the luxury market) • Experience pricing architecturally designed homes • Experience with Australian builders • Experience building detailed BOQs from scratch • Process-driven mindset About Company About the employer The Crawcon Pty Ltd (ABN 71 672 879 337) is a family-owned construction company delivering high-quality homes, renovations and new builds across Sydney, Canberra and Newcastle.
