We are looking for an enthusiastic and experienced Housekeeping Supervisor to join our team at Lanson Place Parliament Gardens Melbourne, conveniently located near Parliament Station. This position will play a key role in overseeing our housekeeping team, ensuring a high standard of cleanliness and organization, and supporting the team. This role reports to the Executive Housekeeping Manager.

This is a very hands-on role that is highly operational, providing hands-on support to the team on the ground while ensuring training, supervision, and quality standards are met. As a Housekeeping Supervisor, you will actively contribute to the seamless operation of the housekeeping department, ensuring our guests experience the highest level of cleanliness and comfort during their stay.

Responsibilities

Supervise and motivate the housekeeping team to maintain high cleaning standards across guest rooms and common areas.

Step in to assist the team during busy periods or provide coverage when necessary.

Monitor daily room assignments and ensure timely completion.

Train and support the team in adhering to the hotel's cleanliness and brand standards.





Ensure safety protocols and cleanliness guidelines are consistently followed.

Conduct quality checks on rooms and public spaces to maintain our brand's standards of presentation.

Collaborate with other departments (such as maintenance and front desk) to address any guest or room concerns.

Report any equipment or maintenance issues in a timely manner.

Requirements

Previous experience in a housekeeping role in a 5 star hotel, preferably in a supervisory capacity.

Strong organizational and time-management skills.

Attention to detail and a proactive attitude.

Ability to communicate effectively with team members and management.

Flexibility to adapt to the needs of a energetic work environment.

Knowledge of safe work practices and handling of cleaning chemicals and equipment.
