As the Head Chef at Eagle Heights Mountain Resort, you will lead a team of talented chefs in creating exceptional dining experiences for our guests. This is a full-time position based at our stunning resort in Wongawallan, Queensland, with opportunities for growth opportunities and development.
What you'll be doing
- Oversee the daily operations of the kitchen, ensuring all meals are prepared to the highest standards
- Develop and refine the menu
- Manage and mentor the kitchen team, providing guidance and training to help them reach their full potential
- Collaborate with the food and beverage team to deliver seamless dining service
- Monitor food costs and inventory, implementing strategies to improve efficiency and profitability
- Ensure compliance with all health, safety and hygiene regulations
What we're looking for
- Minimum 5 years of experience as a Head Chef or in a senior culinary role within the hospitality industry
- Strong leadership and people management skills, with the ability to inspire and motivate a team
- Excellent culinary skills and a passion for creating innovative, flavourful dishes
- Sound knowledge of food safety, hygiene and cost control procedures
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills to liaise with colleagues and customers
- A collaborative, solution-oriented mindset and the ability to work well under pressure
