Active Fabrications' is seeking a skilled Lathe Operator to join our team in Beenleigh, QLD on a casual basis with Fulltime available to the right person. As a Lathe Operator, you will play a crucial role in the manufacturing process, operating industrial lathes to turn Trailer axles. Your expertise will contribute to the high-quality production of our products, ensuring we meet the demands of our valued clients.

What you'll be doing

- Operating industrial lathes to manufacture Trailer Axles to strict tolerances and quality standards
- Setting up and adjusting lathe equipment, including selecting and securing the appropriate tools and workpieces
- Monitoring machine operations and making adjustments as needed to maintain optimal performance and product quality
- Performing routine maintenance and minor repairs on lathe equipment to ensure it remains in good working condition
- Collaborating with the production team to identify and implement process improvements
- Cutting and preparing the steel.

What we're looking for

- Proven experience as a Lathe Operator or similar machinist role, preferably in a manufacturing or engineering environment




- Strong understanding of metal working principles, lathe operation, and manufacturing processes
- Proficient in the use of precision measuring tools and equipment
- Excellent attention to detail and a commitment to producing high-quality work
- Good problem-solving and decision-making skills
- Ability to work effectively both independently and as part of a team
