The Role

Reporting to the Executive Chef and Head Chef, we are seeking passionate and motivated Cooks to join our dynamic Canteen kitchen team in a Casual basis. As an integral part of the Canteen, you will contribute to the efficient day-to-day operation of The HUB.

In this role, you will:

- Assist with food preparation and over-the-counter service while providing a high standard of customer service.

- Serve food to staff and visitors in a friendly and professional manner.

- Wiping down the Dining tables, refilling the napkins and maintain overall cleanliness of the canteen

- Ensure that foods are prepared, cooked and presented according to the menu, recipe and according to the Hotel Secure Food & Hygiene Standards.

- Take responsibility for a high standard of cleanliness of the food preparation and storage areas e.g. dry store, cool room & common kitchen areas.

About You

You’re an enthusiastic and motivated cook with a robust passion for food, eager to learn and grow in a fine dining environment. You take pride in your craft and thrive in a fast-paced, team-oriented kitchen.

To be successful in this role, you’ll have:

- A friendly, approachable & genuine attitude interacting with Staff and guests.

- A good understanding of basic cooking & preparation techniques and can confidently follow recipes.





- An understanding of food allergen & food contamination prevention.

- A commitment to maintaining the highest standards of food quality, presentation & hygiene.

- Certificate II in Commercial Cookery or higher is desirable.

- 1 year experience in a similar role.
