Lime Recruitment is currently working with a large Queensland Government client to recruit a Project Director - TRAILS Modernisation. In this role, you will provide executive leadership and transformation direction for a major multi-year digital transformation initiative, progressively transitioning legacy registration and licensing systems to modern, sustainable, and fit-for-purpose platforms.

Key Responsibilities

- Provide clear strategic direction and accountable leadership for the progressive modernisation of the legacy registration and licensing technology environment.

- Lead and align six multidisciplinary domain teams across business, technology, data, policy, and service delivery around a shared transformation roadmap and priorities.

- Translate complex strategic intent, business, policy, service, data, and technical requirements into practical delivery plans, decisions, and sustainable outcomes.

- Establish effective governance, planning, assurance, risk management, and performance disciplines supporting executive decision-making (aligned with PRINCE2, Agile, and QGEA frameworks).

- Build strong relationships and maintain alignment across executives, governance bodies, business owners, technical specialists, and external delivery partners.

- Actively resolve critical issues, dependencies, and delivery barriers across all domains while protecting service continuity, security, and regulatory obligations.

- Drive operational readiness, business change,



and knowledge transfer to strengthen internal capability and ensure sustainable ongoing operations.

About You

- Extensive experience leading large-scale, complex digital transformation programs and modernising enterprise business systems within government or complex environments.

- Proven track record managing multidisciplinary domain teams spanning technology, data, policy, business change, and service delivery.

- Demonstrated success establishing governance, assurance, risk management, and executive reporting arrangements for multi-year programs.

- Exceptional stakeholder management, negotiation, and leadership skills with the ability to influence at executive levels and drive delivery momentum.

- Solid experience operating in hybrid delivery models combining PRINCE2/PRINCE2-equivalent governance with Agile and product delivery practices.

- Relevant tertiary qualifications or professional certifications (e.g., PRINCE2, Agile, MSP) are highly regarded.
