The Strata Collective is an award winning, experienced and highly regarded strata management company based in Sydney CBD. We have ambitious growth plans over the next three years and are looking for a Senior Accountant who wants to grow with us.

About the role
This is a senior, full-time role combining hands-on management of the accounting function for a portfolio of strata properties with broader commercial responsibilities. Reporting to the Managing Director and working closely with our Head of Strata Accounting, you will receive full training in strata accounting before working autonomously with our team and clients.

For the right person, this role offers a genuine development path into senior leadership, including the possibility of growing into an operational leadership role within the business.

What you will do
Portfolio accounting

- Monitor and process transactions for the strata properties under management

- Manage key client relationships on financial matters and deal directly with owners about their accounts

- Complete bank and Excel reconciliations, journals, and year end closing and finalisation

- Prepare BAS and ITRs,



liaise with external auditors, and prepare and issue statutory reporting

Commercial responsibilities

- Contribute to budgeting and forecasting for the business

- Provide the Managing Director with visibility of financial and operational performance

- Identify improvements to internal processes and systems

- Support recent business projects and the three-year growth strategy

About you

- Degree qualified in accounting, with CA or CPA preferred

- Significant general accounting experience at a senior level

- Strata experience is not required, but a genuine willingness to learn strata accounting is

- Confident dealing directly with clients and owners

- Strong attention to detail and the ability to work to tight deadlines

- Commercially minded, with an interest in developing into a leadership role
