We are seeking a skilled and detail-oriented Panel Beater & Automotive Painter to join our team. The successful candidate will be responsible for repairing vehicle body damage and performing high-quality paint work to restore vehicles to pre-accident condition.
Key Responsibilities
Panel Beating
- Assess vehicle damage and determine repair requirements
- Repair or replace damaged panels using appropriate tools and techniques
- Straighten chassis and frames where required
- Remove dents, scratches, and other body imperfections
- Disassemble and reassemble vehicle components
Automotive Painting
- Prepare surfaces by sanding, masking, and priming
- Mix and match paint to manufacturer specifications
- Apply base coat, explicit coat, and finishing layers
- Ensure smooth, even, and high-quality paint finishes
- Polish and buff completed paintwork
Skills & Qualifications
- Proven experience as a panel beater and/or automotive painter
- Strong knowledge of vehicle body repair techniques
- Experience with spray painting equipment and tools
- Ability to color match and blend paint accurately
- Attention to detail and commitment to quality workmanship
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
- Relevant trade qualification (preferred)
Work Requirements
- Ability to meet deadlines and work under pressure
- Good physical fitness and manual dexterity
- Understanding of workplace health and safety standards
