The role This is a senior leadership role. You’ll be the primary point of accountability for a portfolio of client accounts, owning delivery quality, team performance, client satisfaction and financial results, including revenue and gross profit. The role is not tied to a specific location. What you’ll own
• Client accounts: Act as primary lead for multiple clients, building trusted, long-term relationships with senior executives and proactively identifying opportunities to create value.
• Delivery: Lead multiple project engagements and ongoing Procurement as a Service programs at once, from chance analysis and strategy through to sourcing, negotiation, implementation and benefits reporting, on time, in scope and on budget.
• Commercial performance: Own revenue and gross profit across your accounts, manage budget versus forecast and utilisation, and shape resourcing and pricing to optimise profitability.
• Your team: Build, lead and develop consultants, procurement specialists and analysts, including recruitment, onboarding, development plans, performance feedback and workforce planning.
• Growth: Expand existing accounts and win new clients by building your professional network, representing August in the market and generating new business opportunities.



Contribute to proposals, pricing and scoping, and help strengthen August’s methodologies and market presence. How success is measured We’re clear about what great looks like. You’ll be measured on:

• Commercial results: Achieving gross profit targets across your accounts, with disciplined management of budget, forecast, utilisation and cost.

• Team performance: Engagement and retention, successful recruitment and onboarding, and capability growth against individual plans.
• Business growth: Account growth, new client wins and proposal success. What you’ll bring
• Typically 7–10+ years’ experience in procurement, strategic sourcing or category management, ideally in professional services or a client-facing environment.
• Proven experience leading multiple client engagements and managing complex senior stakeholder environments.
• A track record of owning project delivery, budgets and commercial outcomes.
• Experience building and leading professional services teams, including recruitment, onboarding and capability development.
• Strong analytical and commercial judgement, with the ability to turn data into insights and clear recommendations.
