Location: Level 1, 139 Little Bourke Street, Melbourne
Job Type: Full-time / Part-time
Hourly Rate: $26.44 – $30 (depending on experience)
Shift Availability: Afternoon, Evening, Weekends
Working Hours: Between 2:00 PM and 12:30 AM

About Us – Crab 89

Crab 89 is a premium Japanese seafood buffet specializing in crustaceans and high-quality seafood.

We are looking for reliable, hardworking, and motivated Kitchen Hands to join our team.

We operate in a fast-paced kitchen workplace where teamwork, efficiency, and attention to detail are essential.

Key Responsibilities

- Seafood Preparation & Cooking: Cleaning, trimming, preparing, and cooking various types of seafood, including crabs, lobsters, prawns, and shellfish.
- Vegetable Preparation: Washing, peeling, cutting, and preparing vegetables and other ingredients.
- Delivery Handling: Receiving deliveries, checking stock, organizing ingredients, and storing products correctly.
- Kitchen Organization: Maintaining cleanliness and ensuring all workstations are organized.
- Food Safety: Following food safety, hygiene, and proper food storage procedures.
- Team Support: Assisting chefs and other kitchen staff with daily food preparation and kitchen operations.

Requirements

- Previous kitchen or seafood preparation experience is preferred.
- Basic knife skills and food preparation knowledge.
- Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment.




- Physically capable of handling deliveries, lifting boxes, and standing for extended periods.
- Reliable, punctual, and willing to learn.
- Available to work afternoon, evening, and weekend shifts.
