Start your career with a team that will help you spread your wings!
Are you a new graduate Speech Pathologist looking for a supportive, welcoming workplace where you can learn, grow and make a meaningful difference in the lives of children and their families?
At Early Bird Therapy Services, we believe great therapy starts with a great team. We’re looking for a passionate and enthusiastic Speech Pathologist to join our nest and grow with us!
Whether you’re about to graduate or are in the early stages of your career, this is an opportunity to develop your clinical skills, gain hands-on experience and build your confidence with the guidance of an experienced, collaborative team.
You don’t need to know everything on day one. We’re looking for someone who is curious, compassionate, eager to learn and excited about helping children find their voice.
About us
Early Bird Therapy Services is a paediatric allied health practice specialising in early intervention for children under five, as well as supporting school-aged children with a range of communication and developmental needs.
Our approach is family-centred, play-based and focused on building the foundations for meaningful communication. We work closely with children, their families and other professionals to help every child reach their potential in ways that are meaningful to them.
We’re passionate about creating a safe, encouraging environment where children can learn, connect and thrive. Alongside individual therapy, we run group therapy programs and social groups that give children opportunities to practise their communication skills, build relationships and develop confidence beyond the therapy room.
Just as we support our children to grow, we’re committed to supporting our team to grow, too.
You’ll be joining a friendly, multidisciplinary team of experienced Speech Pathologists and Occupational Therapists who value collaboration, knowledge-sharing and supporting one another. We believe in asking questions, learning together and celebrating the little wins that make a big difference.
Why start your career with Early Bird?
Your first role as a Speech Pathologist is an important step, and we want you to feel supported as you make the transition from university to clinical practice.
At Early Bird, you’ll have the opportunity to:
- Learn from experienced clinicians:
Receive ongoing supervision, mentoring and guidance as you develop your clinical reasoning and therapy skills.
- Build your confidence: Gradually develop your independence with support from colleagues who understand the learning curve of being a new graduate.
- Gain diverse paediatric experience: Work with children under five and school-aged children with a range of communication and developmental needs.
- Explore different therapy approaches: Develop your skills in assessment, individual therapy, family-centred intervention and group programs.
- Collaborate across disciplines: Work alongside Speech Pathologists, Occupational Therapists and a paediatrician, gaining valuable insights into multidisciplinary care.
- Make a meaningful difference: Build relationships with children and families and celebrate progress, from the smallest milestones to the big breakthroughs.
- Enjoy flexibility: Benefit from flexible hours and days, with opportunities to discuss a work arrangement that suits your needs and our service.
- Feel supported by the wider team: Work with approachable colleagues and reliable administrative support so you can focus on developing your clinical skills and supporting your clients.
- Keep learning: Access professional development opportunities and continue building your knowledge throughout your career.
We want you to feel comfortable asking questions, sharing ideas and trying new approaches. You’ll have opportunities to learn from experience, reflect on your practice and develop into the clinician you want to become.
What you’ll be doing
As a Speech Pathologist at Early Bird, you’ll work with children and their families to support communication development and participation in everyday life.
Your responsibilities will include:
