About the Role
We are seeking an experienced, dependable male support worker to provide in-home and community support to a male NDIS participant. Because the role involves intimate personal care, the participant has requested a male carer.
About the role
- Provide personal care supports: showering, toileting, continence care, meal preparation and medication administration
- Follow the NDIS Code of Conduct and the participant’s shift plan
- Assist the participant with transport and community participation
- Support the participant to work towards his personal goals
- Keep accurate records: timesheets, shift notes and incident/risk reports
- Communicate honestly and openly with the care team and family
- Stay alert to risks in the home and out in the community
About you
You are an empathetic,
proactive support worker who takes pride in showing up on time, every time. You bring:
- An Experienced Personal Carer or Disability Support Worker
- Fluent, transparent communication
- A strong sense of responsibility and attention to detail
- Commitment to participant safety, dignity and wellbeing
- The ability to work independently and as part of a team
- Added experience or training in epilepsy management will be a strong advantage
Punctuality and reliability are critical in this role. The participant depends on a consistent care routine, and late or missed shifts cause real disruption.
Essential requirements
- NDIS Worker Screening Check
- Driver’s licence and own car
- Working with Children Check
- Current First Aid and CPR certificate
- NDIS Worker Orientation Module
- Infection control / hand hygiene training
Job Type: Casual
Pay: $38.34 – $40.11 per hour
