Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

- Plans menus in close collaboration with the Head Chef.
- Assists the Head Chef with scheduling and coordinating the work of other kitchen employees to ensure food preparation is economical, technically correct, and within budgeted labor cost goals.
- Approves requisitions for products and other necessary food supplies.
- Ensures high standards of sanitation, cleanliness, and safety are maintained throughout all kitchen areas at all times.
- Establishes controls to minimize food and supply waste and theft.
- Safeguards all food preparation employees by implementing training to increase their knowledge about safety procedures, proper food handling, and hazard prevention.

Skills and Experience:

- Minimum of 3 to 5 years of relevant experience as a Chef or Cook in a professional kitchen environment.
- Proven skills and experience in the field and industry, including menu planning and food preparation.
- Strong knowledge of kitchen operations, including scheduling and coordination of kitchen staff.
- Experience with inventory control, product requisitioning,



and supply management.
- Solid understanding of sanitation, cleanliness, and safety standards in food service.
- Ability to train and mentor kitchen staff on safety and food handling practices.
- Strong organizational and time-management skills, with the ability to work within budgeted labor cost goals.
- Ability to work effectively under pressure in a fast-paced kitchen setting.
- Strong communication and teamwork skills, with the ability to collaborate closely with the Head Chef and other kitchen employees.

Pay: $80,000.00 – $95,000.00 per year
