Are you a passionate hospitality leader looking for a role where community, quality food, and great vibes come together? Girdlers Avalon is on the lookout for a Café Manager to lead our team, create an amazing customer experience, and ensure smooth day-to-day operations.

About the Role

As our Café Manager, you’ll be the heart of our Avalon location, overseeing a team of dedicated staff, ensuring top-notch service, and keeping the café running efficiently. From managing the floor and supporting the team to handling stock, rosters, and customer engagement, you'll play a key role in maintaining the warm, welcoming atmosphere that makes Girdlers special.

What You’ll Be Doing

- Lead and inspire a passionate front-of-house team.
- Deliver an exceptional customer experience—engaging with our regulars and creating a welcoming space for all.
- Oversee daily café operations, including stock control, ordering, and maintaining high food & service standards.
- Oversee daily takings, perform cash-ups, and ensure accurate financial reporting.
- Track sales performance, identify trends, and implement strategies to boost revenue.
- Manage staff rostering to balance labour costs with operational needs.
- Work closely with the kitchen and wider Girdlers team to ensure consistency across all locations
- Drive a strong, community-focused culture that reflects our values of simple, honest goodness

What We’re Looking For





- A natural leader with café or restaurant management experience
- Passion for customer service and creating a great team culture
- Barista skills and a passion for great coffee would be a strong advantage
- Ability to work under pressure and keep cool during busy periods
- Strong organisational skills—you can juggle rosters, stock, and service without breaking a sweat
- A love for healthy, wholesome food and an appreciation for what makes Girdlers unique
- Availability to work weekends and peak service periods
