About us:

Established in 1897, Kogan State School is situated on the Dalby Kogan Road. Kogan State School is part of Darling Downs South West Region and provides a co-educational, multi-age setting for students in years Kindy to Year Six. We offer curriculum programs in line with the priorities of the Department of Education and the Australian Curriculum, with a strong focus on literacy and numeracy.

In 2022, Kogan State School is now proud to include a State Delivered Kindy (SDK) program. The SDK program is delivered 5 days per fortnight in the Kindy to Year 2 multi age classroom. The SDK is delivered in accordance with the Queensland Kindergarten Learning Guidelines (QKLG).

Your prospect:

Student Learning Support: Assist teachers with classroom activities, literacy and numeracy programs, small-group learning and individual student support.
Inclusive Education: Support students with diverse and additional needs, demonstrating empathy, patience and respect while promoting their wellbeing, dignity and independence.
Classroom Preparation: Prepare,



organise and maintain learning materials, teaching resources and equipment to support engaging educational activities.
Student Wellbeing and Safety: Contribute to student health, safety and welfare, including supervision, first aid where appropriately trained, and assistance with personal care where required and suitably trained.
School Activities and Supervision: Support teachers with excursions, sporting activities, playground and bus supervision, and other school events.
Administrative Support: Assist with class rolls, student records, learning materials, photocopying, examination preparation and other clerical duties.
Teamwork and Communication: Work collaboratively with teachers and school staff, maintain confidentiality and communicate respectfully with students and families.
