Part-Time Sales Consultant — Custom Furniture

Help customers create furniture tailored to their homes—and earn commission that rewards your sales success.

Leisure Lounges is a family-owned Australian furniture manufacturer specialising in custom lounges, sofas and theatre daybeds. We’re looking for a confident salesperson who can understand customers’ needs, explain their options and guide them from enquiry through to order.

You’ll work closely with the owner and manufacturing team, selling bespoke furniture where design, comfort and craftsmanship matter.

A genuine opportunity to grow your earnings

Alongside your hourly pay, commission starts at 1.5% of eligible residential sales, with the opportunity to progress to 3% based on demonstrated performance.

In some strong fortnights, previous staff working three days a week earned more in commission than in base pay. Earnings vary with sales performance and the applicable commission rate.

Commission is calculated on your eligible residential sales value, excluding GST and delivery. The director manages commercial projects, which are excluded from this arrangement.

Flexibility around your working days

We’re open to discussing a part-time roster that suits both you and the business. This could include two or three weekdays, with shifts such as 9 am–5 pm.

Saturday work may be included, depending on the agreed roster.

What you’ll do

- Understand customers’ spaces, preferences and budgets.
- Guide customers through designs, dimensions, fabrics and finishes.
- Prepare accurate quotes and record custom requirements.
- Follow up enquiries, answer questions and confidently close sales.
- Coordinate with our team and keep the showroom welcoming.

What you’ll bring

You’re a capable salesperson who listens carefully, follows through and takes pride in getting the details right. You’re comfortable discussing substantial purchases, explaining value and asking for the sale.

Experience in furniture, kitchens, interiors, home improvements or another considered-purchase sales role would be valuable. Strong organisation and confidence using customer and quoting systems are important.
