Position Title: A-Grade Electrician – Industrial / CommercialReports To: DirectorLocation: Carrum Downs, MelbournePosition Summary:

We are seeking a qualified A-Grade Electrician with experience in the industrial sector to join our team.

The successful candidate will be responsible for installation, maintenance, fault-finding, and repair of electrical systems associated with industrial & commercial facilities, refrigeration & HVAC equipment, greenhouse control and all associated general electrical equipment.

This role requires an understanding of industrial electrical operations & conforming installations, variable speed drives, motor starting methods, alongside adherence to OH&S;, electrical standards and compliance regulations.

Key Responsibilities:

- Install, maintain, and repair electrical components of industrial and commercial refrigeration systems.
- Perform wiring, termination, and testing of motor control centres (MCCs), switchboards, and control panels.
- Design, Manufacture & commission in-house Motor Control Centres.
- Diagnose and repair faults in motors, compressors, pumps, and associated electrical control systems.
- Work with control systems for refrigeration/greenhouse & other industrial/commercial applications.
- Conduct regular preventive maintenance to minimise downtime and ensure system efficiency.
- Read and interpret electrical schematics, control drawings, and refrigeration wiring diagrams.




- Collaborate with refrigeration technicians, engineers and similar construction teams to deliver projects on time.
- Ensure compliance with AS/NZS 3000 Wiring Rules, OH&S; legislation, and company safety procedures.
- Complete job documentation, service reports, and testing records accurately.

Skills & Experience Required:

- Current A-Grade Electrical Licence (Victoria or relevant state/territory).
- Experience in industrial electrical work
- Knowledge of motor control circuits ideal.
- Ability to read control schematics and wiring diagrams.
- Experience with fault-finding
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team in industrial environments.
- Commitment to safety, with a proactive approach to risk management.

Qualifications & Licences:

- Current A-Grade Electrical Licence.
- Construction Industry White Card.
- Refrigeration industry knowledge/experience (highly regarded).
- Current driver’s licence.
- Working at Heights / EWP / CPR & LVR (preferred but not essential).

Pay: $50.00 – $60.00 per hour

Expected hours: 40.0 per week
