Junior Content Creator – Furniture & Interiors

Luxo Living | Wetherill Park, Sydney | Full-time | $75,000 + super

Turn real furniture, real spaces and everyday moments into stories people want to watch. We’re looking for a hands-on Junior Content Creator who enjoys coming up with ideas, filming, editing and learning what connects with an audience.

You don’t need a large following, a particular qualification or a set number of years’ experience. Personal projects, self-run social accounts and professional work can all show us your creativity and potential.

The role

Luxo Living is an Australian furniture retailer with customers shopping online across Australia and a showroom in Wetherill Park. This full-time, in-person role brings you close to our products, showroom and people.

You’ll work with our part-time Social Media Manager, paid social team, designers, ecommerce team and showroom colleagues. You’ll contribute ideas and make content yourself—not just coordinate other people’s work. This is a junior role: we don’t expect you to know everything on day one.

What you’ll do

- Create social-first videos, Reels, TikToks, carousels, photos and static content featuring our furniture, styling ideas, product demonstrations, customer stories and behind-the-scenes moments.
- Film and edit personally, from quick mobile captures to planned shoots. Use strong opening hooks, clear stories, good pacing, captions and product benefits to keep people watching.
- Appear in content, present products, record voiceovers and film yourself or others naturally in a showroom environment.
- Adapt content for Instagram, TikTok, Facebook, YouTube Shorts and Pinterest. Think about each platform’s format, framing, safe zones, length, audio, thumbnails and calls to action rather than simply reposting the same file.

- Make one idea or shoot work harder: create different cuts, hooks, stills, carousels and useful B-roll for organic social, paid creative, product pages, web and email.
- Contribute to content plans and repeatable series, bring fresh ideas and find stories in products, customer questions and showroom activity—not just the latest trend.
- Help the paid social team adapt and test creative. You’ll contribute content and creative ideas, not manage advertising accounts or media budgets.
- Review results such as watch time, retention, saves, shares and clicks with the team. Use feedback and performance patterns to decide what to improve or test next.
- Keep raw footage, B-roll and finished assets organised and searchable, with clear filenames and product/SKU, creator, usage-permission and approval details. Help relevant teams find and reuse approved content.
- Help brief collaborators and repurpose creator or customer content with the appropriate permissions, keeping handovers transparent and deadlines organised.

What will help you succeed

- Examples that show storytelling, a visual eye and an understanding of short-form social content.
- Practical filming, basic photography and video-editing skills. Experience with CapCut, Canva, Adobe tools or similar is useful; the work you can create matters more than a particular software brand.
- Comfort speaking on camera and recording voiceovers, or a genuine willingness to develop those skills as part of the role.

- Clear communication, organisation, initiative and openness to feedback. You enjoy collaborating, experimenting and balancing quality with a steady pace of output.
- Curiosity about furniture, interiors, customers and how content supports a recognisable brand.

What success looks like

You’ll build your understanding of our products, customers and brand while contributing a consistent flow of useful content. We’ll look for stronger stories and execution, sensible reuse of assets, reliable organisation, and evidence that you learn from feedback and results—not a follower count or one viral post.

What’s in it for you

- $75,000 plus super and a full-time position.
- Hands-on experience across furniture, lifestyle, ecommerce and digital campaigns.
- Opportunity to develop your skills and creative portfolio, contribute ideas and grow with the business.
- Generous employee discounts.

How to apply

Send your CV and links to a portfolio or relevant videos, photos, carousels or social accounts you’d like us to review. Personal or professional work is welcome; there is no minimum follower requirement. We’ll assess the relevant work you share, not unrelated personal content.

Briefly tell us which examples you personally filmed, edited, wrote or presented, why you’re interested in this role, and one creator or account you think tells stories particularly well—and why. If you have an example of improving content after feedback or results, include it.

We’re interested in your creative thinking, practical skills and potential—not just previous job titles.

Pay: $75,000.00 per year

Application Question(s):

- Do you have any work restrictions?
- Are you available Mon-Fri? and even Weekends if needed?
