WE'RE HIRING! FUN, CONFIDENT & A LITTLE BIT QUIRKY? WE WANT YOU!

Social Gaming & Technology Activities Assistant

Aussie IT Services Australia – Loganholme, QLD

Looking for a fun job where you can be yourself, meet awesome people, play games and actually enjoy coming to work?

We're looking for a fun, outgoing and confident person to join our team at Aussie IT Services!

You don't need experience. You don't need qualifications. You don't need to be a computer expert.

We're looking for PERSONALITY, not a résumé!

If you're friendly, confident, enjoy having a laugh, love meeting people and have an interest in modern gaming and technology, you could be exactly who we're looking for.

SO, WHAT'S THE JOB?

We're a computer sales and service business, but we're also much more than your average computer shop!

We run a fun, relaxed and welcoming environment where NDIS participants come together to enjoy PC gaming, Nintendo, computer building, social activities and learning new skills.

Your role is really about being a friend, companion and positive influence.

You'll be:

- Hanging out with participants, chatting, laughing and having fun.
- Playing PC games, Nintendo and joining in group gaming activities.
- Helping people make friends, build confidence and enjoy themselves.
- Getting involved in computer building, technology projects and other hands-on activities.
- Encouraging participants to try new things and get involved.
- Helping out with some basic computer shop activities, customer service and everyday tasks.
- Bringing your own fun personality, energy and ideas to our team!

Think of it as a mix of social gaming, friendship, technology and having fun at work!

WHO ARE OUR PARTICIPANTS?

Our NDIS participants are very capable, largely independent young people with low support needs.

Many are on the autism spectrum or otherwise neurodivergent.

They're people who enjoy gaming, technology,

making friends and spending time with others who share their interests.

Some might be a little shy, socially awkward or need encouragement to join in conversations and activities.

That's where YOU come in!

We're looking for someone who can make people feel comfortable, included and welcome. Someone who can start a conversation, have a laugh, organise a game and help bring people together.

This is a social, recreational and skill-building environment, not a high-needs personal care role.

WHAT KIND OF PERSON ARE WE LOOKING FOR?

- Confident, outgoing and comfortable talking to people.
- Fun, friendly, energetic and perhaps a little bit quirky!
- Someone with a good sense of humour who doesn't take themselves too seriously.
- Interested in modern PC gaming, Nintendo, computers and technology.
- Patient, kind and understanding of people who might think or communicate differently.
- Comfortable taking the initiative and getting people involved.
- Reliable, honest and respectful.
- Happy to learn and have a go at new things.

You don't have to be a gaming nerd or IT genius!

A general interest in games and technology is all you need.

We'll teach you everything else, including computer building, basic IT skills and the activities we run.

NO EXPERIENCE? NO PROBLEM!

Seriously!

We don't care if you've never had a job before, didn't finish school, haven't been to university or have absolutely no experience working in IT or disability services.

Your education and employment history are not what matters to us.

We're looking for the right person with the right attitude.

If you're confident, friendly, dependable and naturally positive at making people feel comfortable, we'd love to hear from you.

WORK HOURS & REQUIREMENTS

Flexible casual hours – Monday to Sunday.

We can offer flexible shifts, including weekdays, evenings and weekends.

Applicants must:

- Be 18 years of age or older.
- Be able to satisfy relevant criminal history and worker screening checks.
- Hold or be eligible to obtain a Queensland Blue Card and NDIS Worker Screening Clearance (formerly Yellow Card).
- Be reliable, trustworthy and comfortable working with young people and NDIS participants.

WHY YOU'LL LOVE WORKING HERE

This isn't a boring office job where you sit behind a desk all day.

You'll be surrounded by gaming computers, the latest technology, music, social activities and some genuinely great people.

Every day is a little different, and you'll have opportunities to learn new skills along the way.

Most importantly, you'll be helping people make friends, grow in confidence and enjoy being part of a community.

We can teach you IT skills. We can teach you how to build computers. But what we really want is someone with a great personality who genuinely enjoys being around people.
