Barbagallo Cannington is seeking an enthusiastic and motivated 1st Year Automotive Apprentice to join our Service Department.

This is a fantastic opportunity to gain hands-on experience, develop your technical skills and learn from experienced automotive technicians while working towards a nationally recognised qualification.

About the Role

As a 1st Year Automotive Apprentice, you will:

- Assist qualified technicians with vehicle servicing, maintenance and repairs.
- Learn to diagnose and identify mechanical and electrical faults.
- Gain practical experience using modern diagnostic equipment and workshop tools.
- Develop your knowledge of automotive systems and manufacturer standards.
- Maintain a clean, safe and organised workshop.
- Complete your apprenticeship training and assessments.

About You

We are looking for someone who:

- Has completed Year 12 (preferred).
- Has undertaken a Year 12 VET Automotive work placement (preferred).
- Has completed a Certificate II in Automotive Servicing Technology (Pre-Apprenticeship), which will be highly regarded.
- Has a genuine passion for cars and the automotive industry.
- Is enthusiastic, reliable and eager to learn.
- Demonstrates a positive attitude and strong work ethic.
- Enjoys hands-on work and problem-solving.




- Works well in a team and follows instructions.
- Takes pride in their work and has excellent attention to detail.
- Holds a current driver's licence.

Salary: Remuneration will be paid in accordance with the Vehicle Repair, Services and Retail Award and will vary depending on the successful applicant's age and whether they have completed Year 12.

Pay: $32,011.22 per year
