4. Summary of Key Duties and Responsibilities

The Social Media Specialist will be responsible for developing, implementing and managing social media and digital content initiatives for ACTV Croydon and ACTV Cheltenham to increase brand awareness, engage the local community, generate prospective member enquiries and support membership growth.

Key duties will include:

- Developing and implementing social media strategies across platforms including Instagram, Facebook and TikTok.
- Planning, filming, editing and publishing engaging short-form video content, including Reels, TikToks, training demonstrations, member stories and promotional videos.
- Developing and maintaining a structured social media content calendar aligned with business objectives, promotional campaigns and membership offers.
- Creating written, visual and video content that communicates ACTV's training philosophy, services, member results and brand identity.
- Managing the business's social media accounts, including scheduling posts, monitoring engagement, responding to relevant comments and messages, and maintaining a consistent brand voice.
- Developing and executing digital content campaigns to promote memberships, introductory offers, studio events and community initiatives.
- Capturing and producing content featuring training sessions, coaches, members and studio activities, with appropriate consent and permissions.
- Monitoring social media analytics and preparing reports on reach, engagement, audience growth, website traffic and enquiry generation.




- Analysing content performance and adapting strategies to improve audience engagement, lead generation and conversion.
- Researching social media trends, platform developments and content formats relevant to the fitness industry.
- Collaborating with the business owner and company Operations Manager to align social media activity with broader marketing strategies and commercial objectives.
- Maintaining brand consistency across digital platforms and ensuring content is accurate, professional and consistent with ACTV's brand guidelines.

5. Qualifications and Experience Required

- Relevant qualifications in social media marketing, digital marketing, marketing, communications, content creation or a related field, or equivalent relevant qualified experience.
- Demonstrated experience creating and managing social media content for a business, brand or organisation.
- Practical experience filming and editing short-form video content using appropriate editing software and mobile content-production tools.
- Experience managing business social media accounts, developing content calendars and implementing social media campaigns.
- Understanding of social media analytics, audience engagement, content performance and digital marketing principles.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to create engaging content for a defined target audience.
- Demonstrated ability to plan, produce and publish content independently while meeting deadlines.
- Experience in the fitness, health, wellness or lifestyle industry.
- A portfolio of previous social media content or digital marketing work.

Pay: $82,000.00 – $85,000.00 per year
