Job Description:

The Mechanical Technician is responsible for ensuring on-time delivery of equipment as per operational demands. The Mechanical Technician improves maintenance related nonproductive time ratio of the Product Line's assets within the Maintenance Base (MB), and improves maintenance efficiency and people productivity.

Successful Position holders are excellent communicators, enjoy solving problems, and work well in teams. He/She must have good personnel skills,, highly self-motivated, competent and able to work in a high-pressure. He/She must be able to learn and adapt to adverse situations.

Roles and Responsibilities:

· Maintain assigned equipment according to the pertinent maintenance program and compliant with the reliability centered maintenance strategy through adherence to the Computerized Maintenance Management System and standard work.

· Adhere to transactional discipline within Technology Lifecycle Management (TLM) business systems to record materials and supplies, labor costs and equipment maintenance performance history such as movements, work orders, parts used and time to maintain.



Comply with TLM Product Line standards.

· Participate in the continuous improvement culture, initiatives and improvement plans within the MB to improve asset utilization and cost of service delivery (CoSD).

· Participate in continuous improvement efforts to improve asset turnaround time, which includes reducing downtime due to maintenance, parts and repair authorization numbers, failures and work-in-process.

· Support continuous improvement efforts to improve the efficiency and productivity of Maintenance Technicians.

· Maintain assigned equipment according to the pertinent maintenance program and compliant with the reliability centred maintenance strategy through adherence to the Computerized Maintenance Management System and standard work.

- Adhere to transactional discipline within Technology Lifecycle Management (TLM) business systems, accurately capturing maintenance related data.

- Comply with Schlumberger and respective division TLM standards.

- Maintain and build competency in compliance with the TLM Competency Management System.

- Participate in and support continuous improvement (CI) initiatives.

- Perform Scheduled Maintenance

- General duties associated with the Service task and engineering task

- Participate in the continuous improvement culture, initiatives and improvement plans within the Maintenance Base to improve asset utilization and cost of service delivery.

- Participate in continuous improvement efforts to improve asset turnaround time, which includes reducing downtime due to maintenance, parts and return authorization numbers, failures, and work-in-process.





- Participate in failure investigations as assigned.

Qualifications and Experience:

- Reside in Australia and have the full right to live and work in Australia including offshore

- No travel restrictions and open to relocation in Australia based on company’s requirement

- Technical Diploma in Mechanical, Hydraulics, Electrical or Electronics is preferred

- At least 7 yrs experience in in oil & gas or relevant industry

- Ability to maintain, prepare and dispatch of equipment

- Ability to maintain high quality of service delivery, in terms of safety, quality and efficiency of operation

- Experience in maintaining surface well test package

- Experience in Maximo

- Experience in P&ID; drawings, navigated data books, and performed QA-related tasks related to Surface Well Test equipment and operations

- Ability to run required services, supervise operations and managing people, interact with clients and other related parties

- Excellent English written and verbal communication skills essential

- Available to start as soon as possible
