GetCareers is currently recruiting for enthusiastic individuals who are eager to undertake a Boilermaking/Welding Apprenticeship with an established and reputable local business located at Naval Base WA.
This is a full-time opportunity to earn while you learn and gain a nationally recognised qualification – Certificate III in Engineering - Fabrication Trade (Boilermaking/Welding).

About the Role
As a Boilermaking/Welding Apprentice, you will:

- Shape, join and repair metal parts for use in machinery, equipment, metal structures, and other metal products.
- Learn how to read and interpret blueprints, and carry out special processes
- Lay out, cut and form metals to spec
- Use and maintain a variety of different welding tools and methods
- Gain practical, on-site experience alongside experienced tradesmen
- Work on both residential and commercial construction projects

What We’re Looking For
- Driver’s licence and reliable car (as limited public transport to get to site for early start times)
- Must be local or local adjacent (Not Mandurah, etc due to location of position)




- Police clearance desirable
- Forklift licence/ticket desirable
- Crane experience desirable
- Rigging/dogging ticket desirable
- Must be able to pass a Medical and DAS
- Must be reliable and committed to apprenticeship
- Confident and good communication is essential
- Organised
- Take initiative and have a sense of curiosity and good work ethic
- Be willing to do overtime on occasion

Eligibility Criteria

- Must be an Australian Citizen or Permanent Resident
- Must reside in the Naval Base Area due to job location
- Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander candidates are strongly encouraged to apply
