HARKE Recruitment is partnering with two established secondary schools in regional Victoria seeking passionate English educators to lead curriculum, support staff and drive student achievement.

Opportunity 1: English Domain Leader (POL 2)

Catholic College | Regional Victoria – Approx. 1 hour North from Melbourne

- Start: Term 1, 2027 | Full-time teaching position with a 1-year leadership appointment

- Salary: $123,966–$129,544 (2027 likely new EBA)

- Leadership Allowance: $6,332 per annum

- Time Release: 5 teaching periods per fortnight

- Lead English curriculum, assessment and teaching practice across Years 7–12, including VCE.

- Mentor staff, coordinate curriculum development and contribute to a growing secondary school.

Prospect 2: Learning Specialist – Literacy / Head of English

Government Secondary School | Regional Victoria - approx. 2 hours West from Melbourne

- Start: Term 1,



2027 | Full-time, ongoing

- Salary: $123,966–$129,544 + super, with an anticipated 2027 increase to $140,140–$146,439 + super, including POL

- Time Release: 3 teaching periods

- Lead whole-school literacy improvement and the English faculty, alongside a senior English teaching load.

- Oversee literacy interventions, curriculum development, staff coaching and student achievement.

- Relocation assistance available for suitable candidates.

About You

We're looking for experienced English teachers with strong curriculum knowledge, excellent communication skills and a passion for improving student outcomes. Previous faculty leadership, literacy coordination or staff mentoring experience will be highly regarded.
