THE COMPANY:

MAK Industrial Water Solutions is a National Water and Waste Water Treatment Company . MAK Water designs and manufactures a wide range of water treatment plants, and supports its customers with a network of service teams across Australia including operating plants onsite at many different mine sites across Australia.

We are an Original Equipment Manufacturer (OEM) of water treatment plants, with a wide range of technologies, and a strong future order book for plants to be installed in Australia and overseas.

THE ROLE

MAK Water are currently looking for a FIFO Operator to join the QLD FM team. The role is working 14 days on, 14 days off roster, ex Brisbane to a Rio Tinto Mine site in Weipa QLD . The role is working 12 hours per day.

Reporting to the FM Manager, core duties include:

- Operate and maintain the Water Treatment facilities

- Carry out routine and reactive maintenance

- Troubleshoot process issues

- Maintain plant inventories, including assisting in the management of asset registers and life cycles

- Prepare activity and work order reports

- Communicate with site operations personnel

- Assist with additional site requirement; eg pipe installation and repair fittings, upgrades etc

SKILLS AND REQUIREMENTS

The successful candidate will be willing to learn and grow in an expanding company, taking on current challenges. You will also:

- Hold a Certificate III or IV in Water Treatment (essential)

- Have a valid Driver’s License





- Have a minimum of 2 years operational experience in water treatment ( preferably in Reverse Osmosis/ Sewage/Waste Water Treatment)

- Show strong problem-solving capabilities

- Use initiative to manage unexpected issues independently

- Demonstrate computer / iPad literacy

- Communicate effectively, both verbal and written

As this role is based on a QLD Rio Tinto Site, applicants who are currently inducted with Rio Tinto will be looked at favourable, but this is not essential.
