An opportunity is available for an experienced Senior HSE Advisor to take a leading role in delivering safety, environmental and quality outcomes across large-scale construction and civil projects.
Working closely with project leadership and site teams, you’ll drive a proactive safety culture, provide hands-on HSE support and ensure compliance with relevant legislation, management systems and project requirements.
Key Responsibilities

- Lead and promote a proactive safety, environmental and quality culture across site operations.
- Provide hands-on HSE guidance and support to project teams, subcontractors and management.
- Conduct site inspections, audits, risk assessments and reviews of SWMS and high-risk activities.
- Lead incident investigations, identify root causes and implement corrective actions.
- Ensure compliance with WHS and environmental legislation, codes of practice and relevant OFSC requirements.
- Coach, mentor and develop HSE team members, supporting continuous improvement across the business.
- Monitor management systems, maintain accurate records and contribute to reporting and compliance requirements.
- Identify hazards, challenge unsafe behaviours and drive improvements in site safety performance.

About You
- Minimum 10 years’ HSE experience within the construction industry, ideally working for a principal contractor.




- Extensive experience across large-scale commercial construction and civil projects.
- Strong knowledge of WHS and environmental legislation, codes of practice and management systems.
- Proven experience coaching and mentoring HSE professionals.
- Confident communicator with the ability to influence site teams, subcontractors and senior management.
- A proactive, hands-on approach with strong leadership, problem-solving and organisational skills.
- High attention to detail, strong record-keeping skills and sound computer literacy.

Relevant qualifications and licences, including Senior First Aid, Working at Heights, EWP High Risk Work Licence, Electrical Test & Tag and Fire Warden training, will be highly regarded.
