Join an established commercial construction business that is expanding its presence across the Sunshine Coast. Operating from a recently established office on South-end of the Sunshine Coast, the company has a growing pipeline of local projects and offers the opportunity to build a long-term career without regularly commuting to Brisbane. The business delivers a variety of commercial projects, with the potential for future exposure to residential construction. You will join an established local delivery team comprising project management, site management, contract administration and cadet support.

Your new role

As Contract Administrator, you will initially take responsibility for the commercial administration of a circa $13 million mixed-use development on the South Sunshine Coast incorporating a childcare centre, medical centre and retail tenancies. You may also provide support across other Sunshine Coast projects as required. Working between the office and project site, you will maintain a strong site presence and collaborate closely with the construction and project delivery teams.
Your responsibilities will include:

- Preparing detailed scopes of work and subcontractor tender packages
- Managing procurement, tender reviews and quotation comparisons
- Supporting trade negotiations and subcontractor selection
- Preparing and administering subcontracts, purchase orders and commercial documentation
- Assessing subcontractor progress claims and assisting with client claims
- Preparing variations and maintaining accurate variation registers
- Managing RFIs, contractual correspondence and project documentation
- Monitoring budgets, commitments, costs and commercial performance
- Assisting with cost forecasting and regular financial reporting
- Liaising with subcontractors, suppliers, consultants and project stakeholders
- Maintaining project registers and documentation using Procore and Jonas Premier
- Supporting subcontract close-out, final accounts,



defects, handover and project completion.

What you'll need to succeed

To succeed in this role, you will have:

- Previous Contract Administrator experience within commercial construction
- The ability to take commercial responsibility for a larger construction project
- Strong knowledge of procurement and subcontract administration
- Experience preparing scopes of work and managing tender packages
- Experience administering progress claims, variations, purchase orders and subcontract agreements
- Strong commercial awareness and the ability to monitor project budgets and costs
- A sound understanding of construction drawings, specifications and documentation
- Strong communication, negotiation and stakeholder-management skills
- The ability to manage multiple commercial priorities and deadlines
- A collaborative approach to working with site and project teams.

Experience across commercial, mixed-use or multi-residential construction will be highly regarded. Previous experience with Procore or Jonas Premier would also be advantageous.
