About the Role

As a Security Officer, you will play a key role in protecting people, property, and assets while maintaining a skilled and customer-focused presence on site. You will work closely with clients, visitors, contractors, and members of the public to ensure a safe, secure, and welcoming environment.

The successful candidate will be responsible for monitoring site activities, controlling access, conducting patrols, responding to incidents, and enforcing site procedures and security protocols. This role requires strong communication skills, sound judgement, and the ability to remain calm and professional in a variety of situations.

Key Responsibilities

- Conduct regular foot patrols

- Monitor CCTV systems and review security footage as required

- Create, issue, and manage staff, contractor, and visitor access cards

- Control access and verify visitor, contractor, and staff entry

- Respond to alarms, emergencies, and security incidents

- Complete detailed incident reports and site documentation

- Provide exceptional customer service and assistance to clients and visitors

- Enforce site procedures, policies, and security protocols





- Liaise with emergency services and site management when required

Requirements

- Current QLD Security Licence

- Current First Aid certification

- Full working rights in Australia

- Strong observation, analytical, and problem-solving skills

- Excellent verbal and written communication skills

- Strong customer service and interpersonal skills

- Physically fit and reliable

- Reliable transport and the flexibility to work rotating shifts, including days, nights, weekends, and public holidays

- Ability to work effectively both independently and as part of a team
