As a Childcare Support Worker, you'll play a vital role in the care of our children. You'll keep our rooms running smoothly so our educators can focus on their most important job: teaching, nurturing and caring for children. No two days are the same, and your support will make a real difference across the whole centre.
Key responsibilities
- Supporting educators in the rooms throughout the day
- Cleaning, clearing and resetting rooms between activities and at the end of the day
- Restocking resources and supplies
- Laundry
- Assisting with basic food preparation and kitchen duties
- Following hygiene, safety and safe cleaning procedures to keep our environment healthy for children
About you
- Has a positive, proactive and enthusiastic attitude
- Works well as part of a team
- Is clean and hygienic,
with an understanding of safe cleaning practices in a children's environment
- Takes pride in their work and has a valuable eye for detail
- Communicates well with others
- Is reliable, punctual and professional
- Has a genuine interest in working around children
- A current Working With Children Check (WWCC)
- A valid National Police Check, or willingness to obtain one
