MARS Recruitment is seeking an experienced Registered Nurse for contract opportunities in Central Queensland. Bring your broad clinical skills to a varied multipurpose service.

About the Role

- Provide nursing assessment, monitoring and care within the service
- Respond to acute clinical changes within your competencies
- Coordinate with colleagues and escalate patients when required

Requirements

- ALS, triage, resuscitation, IV cannulation, emergency, rural, medical and aged care experience. Aged Care Check mandatory. On-call required; 80 hours per fortnight.
- Current relevant AHPRA registration; Australian work rights and required placement compliance.
- Robust communication, clinical assessment and teamwork skills appropriate to the role.

What's in it for you?

- $73 per hour basic rate for ordinary rostered hours; earnings up to $246 per hour on eligible shifts or overtime. The upper rate applies to qualifying hours, not every hour worked.
- Higher pay for weekday afternoons, weeknights, Saturdays, Sundays and public holidays. Applicable penalties are reflected in the relevant enhanced hourly rate.
- Christmas Eve public holiday hours, 6:00 pm-midnight, paid at 250% where applicable.
- Overtime penalties for Monday-Saturday,



Sundays and public holidays, under the agreed contract.
- Travel assistance and accommodation, subject to contract arrangements.
- Eligible on-call allowances for Monday-Friday and Saturdays, Sundays and public holidays.
- Eligible overtime meal, laundry and broken shift allowances; qualification allowance of +3.5% of pay where applicable.
- Referral bonuses and contract completion bonuses, subject to eligibility and agreed terms.
- Compliance and onboarding support, plus a dedicated consultant throughout your placement.

Your dedicated consultant

Work directly with Kayla Beynon, your Queensland Nursing & Midwifery consultant. I want to build ongoing relationships with RN, RM, CN and CM contractors who want to keep working with me and MARS. I'll support your placement and help plan your next suitable contract around your availability and preferences. Ongoing placements depend on suitable vacancies.
