Location: Café 2 Twentyfour, BelmontHours: Casual, 20+ hours per week. Shifts are usually available on Tuesdays, Saturdays and Sundays, with additional shifts offered according to business needs.
We’re looking for a reliable and hardworking Cook / Kitchen Hand to join our café team. This is a hands-on role for someone who can help prepare and cook meals while keeping the kitchen clean, organised and running smoothly.
Key duties
Prepare and cook menu items to the required standard
Assist with food preparation, including washing, cutting and portioning ingredients
Wash dishes, pots, utensils and kitchen equipment
Clean and sanitise kitchen areas and work surfaces
Follow food safety, hygiene and workplace safety procedures
Help receive, store and rotate stock
Work cooperatively with the kitchen and front-of-house team
What we’re looking for
Previous café or kitchen experience is preferred
A positive attitude and willingness to help where needed
Reliability, punctuality and positive teamwork
Ability to work in a busy kitchen and follow instructions
Availability on Tuesdays, Saturdays and Sundays is highly valued
Food safety knowledge or a relevant certificate is an advantage
