Position: News & Copy Editor
Type: Contract
Compensation: $70–$75/hour
Location: Remote
Commitment: 25 hours/week

Role Responsibilities
Review paired AI-generated news/copy writing against task briefs and writing guides.
Judge for factual accuracy, hedging, and buried leads.
Select a preferred sample and write a one-line reason.
Apply tags and transparent the calibration gate before live data.
Work independently to meet deadlines and ensure high-quality outputs.

Qualifications

Must-Have
Desk or copy editing experience at a major news organization.




Comfortable cutting copy to the point on deadline.
Ability to catch factual slips or buried leads on the first read.
Hourly contractor
