ROLE – Industrial Designer SALARY - $90,000 - $110,000 per annum, dependent on experience

My client is a small engineering and design company looking for an Industrial Designer to join their team in Adelaide. This is an prospect to work on varied design projects, with a robust focus on product development and plastic injection moulding.

The Industrial Designer will ideally have the following attributes:
Experience in Industrial Design, Product Design or a similar role
Experience with plastic injection moulding is essential
Solid 3D CAD skills and the ability to produce detailed technical drawings
Understanding of product design principles, materials and manufacturing processes
Experience designing products from concept through to production
Ability to design products with manufacturing methods and requirements in mind
Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail




Able to work autonomously as well as collaboratively within a small team

The Industrial Designer role will involve:
Developing product concepts and turning them into practical designs
Creating and modifying 3D CAD models and technical drawings
Designing components suitable for plastic injection moulding
Working closely with engineers and other stakeholders throughout the design process
Considering materials, tooling and manufacturing requirements during product development
Supporting the transition of designs from concept through to production
Updating designs and documentation as required
Working within a small engineering and design team on varied projects
