About the organisation The organisation operates within the legal sector, providing comprehensive legal services across various jurisdictions and cultures. About the role As a Senior Accountant, you will support all areas of finance, ensuring accurate financial processes and reporting during a maternity leave cover. Key responsibilities
Prepare and review journal entries, perform ledger and account analysis, and conduct variance analysis
Complete balance sheet reconciliations and ensure compliance with the firm's reconciliation framework
Support annual budgeting and forecasting processes as required
Assist in the preparation of financial and management reporting, liaising with the World Firm Finance team
Ensure finance processes comply with internal controls and authorisation requirements
Support tax compliance requirements through coordination with stakeholders and external advisors
Assist with external audits and resolve queries in a timely manner
Identify opportunities to improve processes and enhance operational efficiency.





Skills & experience
CA or CPA qualified (or equivalent qualified accounting qualification)
Proven experience in a Senior Accountant role, including responsibility for financial reporting
Exposure to tax compliance, including GST, Payroll Tax, and Income Tax obligations
Advanced Microsoft Excel skills, including data analysis capabilities
Experience using Oracle Financials or a similar ERP system is preferred
Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with ability to manage competing priorities.
