Description

Northfleet are the largest fleet provider in the Pilbara and are a market leader in the transport, bus, vehicle, and hire industry, supplying solutions to customers throughout, Perth, Pilbara, Southwest and regional Western Australia.

Due to business growth, we are currently seeking experienced MC truck drivers to join our operations at our Newman and Karratha Depots.

To be a successful candidate:
You must be safety conscious, punctual, hardworking, and reliable.
Have a demonstrated long-term work history in a similar role.
Must have an excellent understanding of access equipment and be competent to operate all types of equipment, to load and unload onto drop deck road train combinations.
Experience operating road train combinations.
Experienced in transporting oversize road trains (preferred).
Willingness to learn and work as part of a team.
Knowledge of the Western Australian Road Network.




Excellent interpersonal skills and ability to communicate at all levels
Valid WA MC driver’s license as a minimum.
Valid WA Construction Safety Awareness Card (White Card).
Be able to pass a Commercial Drivers Medical
Fatigue Management Certificate
National Police Clearance (valid within 6 months)
Have sound experience with linehaul routes and rural work.

Preferred but not essential:
Elevated Work Platform (WP) Ticket.
MSIC Card (must be able to obtain if you do not already hold currently)
Chain or Responsibility and Load Restraint Training
Dangerous Goods certificate
Any other relevant tickets and licenses (PTD, Fire Attack, First Aid)

Tasks include:
Ensuring compliance with all safety requirements including daily pre-starts on vehicles and trailers.
Adhering to all quality control procedures including using the companies electronic recording systems
Knowledge and understanding of fatigue management rules
Operating the vehicle and trailer in a secure and effective manner.
Driving, reversing, jacking, hooking/unhooking b-doubles, road trains and dolly combinations.
Completing documentation correctly to comply with Fatigue and Safe Driving Plans.
