Our client is a leading global financial and capital markets advisory firm, supporting sophisticated organisations across financial risk, accounting and technology.

An exciting chance has arisen for an Associate – Accounting Advisory to join a high-performing Hedge Accounting team. This role offers the opportunity to develop specialist expertise while working with senior finance and treasury stakeholders across a diverse client portfolio.

The role:
Advise clients on hedge accounting strategies and complex transactions
Perform hedge effectiveness testing and prepare accounting documentation
Support journal entries, financial reporting and disclosures
Provide technical accounting advice across interest rate, FX and commodity hedging
Conduct technical accounting research, particularly around IFRS 9
Work closely with clients, auditors and internal specialists
Contribute to month-end and quarter-end reporting processes




Develop solid expertise in one of the most complex and evolving areas of accounting

You will ideally have:
Around 5 years' accounting experience, with up to 3 years post-qualified
Background in financial reporting, audit or technical accounting advisory
Strong knowledge of IFRS, particularly IFRS 9
Excellent analytical, research and problem-solving skills
Strong communication and client management skills
Robust attention to detail and the ability to work collaboratively in a high-performing workplace
