A well‑known Australian insurance business is looking for a Test Manager to lead quality across its data and analytics delivery. The platform is built on contemporary data engineering practices in Google Cloud, with dbt and modern CI/CD and deployment pipelines at its core.

You’ll set the test strategy, embed testing early in delivery, and stay hands‑on with the data, pipelines and environments rather than managing from a distance. The work spans multiple systems and delivery teams, so integration testing and UAT with the business are central to the role.

The role
Define and evolve the test strategy across functional, regression, automation and data testing
Work hands‑on with dbt models, CI/CD and deployment pipelines in GCP to build quality in
Manage test data and test environments hands‑on, across multiple systems and delivery teams
Design and enhance automation frameworks, including reusable components and libraries
Manage defect triage and closure,



integration testing and UAT with the business

What you’ll bring
Strong hands‑on experience with dbt, CI/CD pipelines and data engineering in GCP
5+ years test management across functional and automation testing programs
10+ years testing experience, including the insurance sector
Hands‑on automation framework architecture, plus test data and workplace management
Experience leading teams across geographies in Agile/Scrum delivery

NOTE -Motor claims insurance experience, mentoring, and leading PoCs and tool selection are highly regarded.

Culture

You’ll work closely with project and program managers and data and development teams, acting as the go‑to person for testing across delivery. It’s a hands‑on leadership role: you’ll set strategy and also roll up your sleeves on pipelines, frameworks, test data and environments.
