Tasmanian Plant Transport (TPT) is a specialist greenlife logistics carrier that travels across Bass Strait. We are looking for an exceptional truck driver to drive and pick up deliveries in Melbourne's South Eastern Suburbs area before reboarding the Searoad to return to Tasmania. You will then deliver product within Tasmania. This position is part time and would be best suited to a semi-retired or retired driver that wants up to 3 days a week work.
Key responsibilities
Drive and pick up deliveries in Melbourne's South Eastern Suburbs area
Reboard the Searoad to return to Tasmania
Deliver product within Tasmania
Maintain schedules and prioritise pickups and drop-offs
Provide friendly customer service and liaise with customers and suppliers
Ensure paperwork is accurate and signed off on receipt of stock and on delivery of stock
Pack and load the truck to ensure deliveries are not damaged
Maintain your log book
Keep the truck in positive condition and maintain a skilled appearance in work uniform
About you
Must have a Heavy Rigid licence
Be physically fit; this role will involve lifting and carrying and you must have ability to work outdoors
Have initiative and the capacity to problem solve
Proven heavy rigid driving experience
Excellent police record and be of valuable character
Highly motivated, trustworthy and able to communicate at all levels
Horticultural knowledge would be a benefit but not essential
