Role Description The Restaurant and Bar Manager is a part-time, in office role based in Bowral, NSW. This role oversees day-to-day front-of-house operations, including managing restaurant and bar service, coordinating staff schedules, and ensuring smooth service during peak periods. Responsibilities include supervising and supporting team members, maintaining quality standards for food and beverage presentation, and monitoring customer satisfaction throughout each shift. The manager will handle cash and payment procedures, manage reservations and walk-ins, and support sales initiatives such as promotions and special events.



The role also involves training staff on service standards, health and safety compliance, and effective communication to maintain a skilled and welcoming environment.

Qualifications
Strong customer service skills, with a focus on delivering consistent, high-quality guest experiences.
Hands-on experience in food & beverage operations, including restaurant and bar service.
Clear and professional communication skills for interacting with guests, team members, and suppliers.
Ability to train and mentor staff to meet service, safety, and operational standards.
Sales awareness, including promoting menu items, specials, and events to drive revenue.
Proven experience in hospitality or restaurant/bar management roles.
Knowledge of food safety, responsible service of alcohol, and workplace health and safety requirements.
Robust organizational and time-management skills, with the ability to prioritize in a busy environment.
Availability to work evenings, weekends, and public holidays as required.
Relevant certifications (e.g., RSA and food safety) and experience in Bowral or similar markets are advantageous.
