The Internal Sales Representative is responsible for providing skilled customer service, managing sales enquiries, preparing quotations, processing orders and supporting the day-to-day sales operations of Newcastle Steel Distributors.
The position involves working directly with trade customers, businesses, contractors and members of the public to identify their steel requirements and provide accurate product information, pricing and availability.
The successful applicant will be expected to develop a sound understanding of the company's products, build strong customer relationships and work closely with warehouse and delivery personnel to ensure orders are completed accurately and efficiently.
Key responsibilities
Respond to customer enquiries by telephone, email and at the sales counterAssist customers with steel product selection, sizes,



grades and availabilityPrepare accurate and competitive quotationsProcess customer orders and sales transactionsFollow up outstanding quotations and customer enquiriesMaintain positive relationships with existing customersIdentify opportunities to increase sales and develop repeat businessProvide customers with accurate information regarding pricing, stock availability and delivery timeframesDevelop and maintain knowledge of the company's steel product rangeMaintain accurate customer records and account information
