Field Service Project Technician - Electrical - Mechanical - Industrial Doors

This is a hands-on, customer-facing role working throughout Brisbane and South East Queensland.
You'll be responsible for a combination of scheduled servicing, preventative maintenance, breakdown repairs and project installations.
You'll work both independently and as part of a close-knit technical team, with support from the office and project teams when required.
You can expect a great variety of large scale, well known clients and client sites.
We have multiple roles available due to continued growth.
Please note that we are seeking either-
Fully qualified or restricted licence Electricians (noting that the Electrical work will form one of many aspects of these roles;
And also Mechanical Fitters;
However, we will also consider applicants for the mechanical roles, who have worked in carpentry, fitter and turner, fitting/maintenance, appliance repair, garage doors, gate automation, lifts, forklifts, conveyors, HVAC or security systems as your skills may transfer well into this role.
Key responsibilities (dependant on your trade / position)
Servicing, installing and maintaining industrial and commercial doors for a large variety of well known companies
Diagnosing and repairing mechanical and electrical faults
Responding to breakdowns and getting equipment operating safely and efficientlyInstalling, upgrading, commissioning and testing current equipment
Working with rapid roll doors, roller shutters, automatic doors,



traffic doors and sectional doors
Completing preventative maintenance and routine servicing
Providing skilled customer service while working on client sites
Clearly explaining faults, repairs and recommended work to customers
Completing job reports, photos and service documentation
Following site procedures, safety requirements and client processes
About you
Mechanically minded and enjoys troubleshooting
Can work independently and manage your own workload
Takes pride in producing clean, quality work
Has a strong safety focus
Holds a current driver's licence
Communicates confidently and professionally with customers
Is respectful of client sites, procedures and workplace requirements
Presents professionally and understands the importance of customer service
Is physically capable of lifting up to 25kg, with trolley assistance available
Is flexible regarding overtime, weekend work and occasional overnight travel (around once per month)
Ability to pass a full medical with Drug and Alcohol testing
Competitive remuneration, discussed based on experience and suitability
Overtime opportunities, with approximately 4-5 hours per week typically available
Additional weekend work when required; Overtime or time off during the week- your choice!
Fully equipped company vehicle, including reasonable personal use
All tools supplied
Occasional overnight travel when required-circa once per month
The work is indoors, including air-conditioned and refrigerated environments
