We're looking for an experienced Horizontal Directional Drilling (HDD) operator to join a site crew installing underground cables and fibre optic infrastructure across Perth and surrounding areas.You'll work alongside a Crew Lead and other operators to deliver protected, quality underground installation works.Key responsibilitiesOperate HDD equipment, including locating and tracking systemsInstall underground fibre optic cables, conduits and other servicesWork across new subdivisions and established areas with existing underground servicesRead plans and DBYD information to identify and protect existing assetsAssist with trenching, potholing, cable laying and reinstatement worksComplete pre-starts, safety documentation and equipment checksSkills and Experience:Minimum 4 years' relevant HDD experience in the Australian electrical or civil construction industryProven horizontal directional drilling, locating and tracking experienceUnderground fibre optics or telecommunications experience highly regardedAbility to read plans and work safely around existing underground servicesCurrent MR or HR driver's licenceReliable,



safety-focused and comfortable with hands‐on site workLicences and qualifications:WA White CardFirst Aid and CPR accreditation recognised in WARelevant machine operating tickets (LB, LE, LL)Verified competency in HDD operationsRelevant industry inductions and access trainingHC/MC licence, traffic management, cable laying or pit and pipe experience advantageousCasual LoadingPlease note for all Australian based contract and temporary roles only, the pay rate is inclusiveofmandatory 25% casual loading.
