Are you a Cloud Security Engineer who enjoys building things rather than simply reviewing them?
We're looking for a Senior Cloud Security Engineer to join a small, specialist team focused on strengthening cloud security across a large technology environment.This is an engineering-first role, working at the intersection of Cloud, Cyber Security and Development.
You'll have the chance to build automated security capabilities, solve complex technical problems and help shape the future direction of cloud security.What you'll be doingDesign and build scalable, secure cloud capabilities across AWSDevelop automation and tooling using Python and other technologiesWork across areas including Vulnerability Management, Detection Engineering, Incident Response, IAM and Network SecurityPartner with Cloud, Cyber Security and Development teams to embed security from design through to deploymentProvide technical guidance on cloud security principles, architecture and best practiceIdentify and remediate security weaknesses and emerging threatsBuild self-service capabilities that allow teams to adopt secure practices at scaleContribute to DevOps,



automation and security engineering best practicesMentor and uplift security capability across the wider technology environmentHelp influence the strategic direction of Cloud SecurityWhat we're looking forYou'll be an experienced cloud engineer with a strong security mindset and a genuine passion for solving problems through technology.Ideally, you'll bring:5+ years' experience working with AWS2+ years' software development experienceStrong Python development skills and experience building testable softwareExperience designing and deploying scalable, reliable and secure AWS applicationsStrong understanding of cloud networking and core Internet protocols, including TCP/IP, DNS, HTTP and distributed networksExposure to, or a strong interest in, security domains such as IAM, Vulnerability Management, Incident Response and Detection EngineeringStrong technical documentation and communication skillsThe ability to operate independently and confidently engage with senior technical stakeholdersAWS certifications, particularly AWS Security or AWS Architecture, would be advantageous.Why this role?
