The Campus Manager is to provide high-level strategic leadership and management within the clinical and aged care services whilst ensuring compliance with policies, procedures, regulations and relevant legislation.
The Campus Manager is responsible for the operational leadership of the St Arnaud campus and the coordination of patient flow, bed utilisation and access management across East Wimmera Health Service.
The role provides leadership to nursing and clinical teams whilst ensuring productive movement of consumers through acute, urgent care and residential aged care services.
The position works collaboratively with campus leaders, community services and executive staff to improve access to care, reduce discharge delays, optimise occupancy and support person-centred care delivery.Key responsibilitiesDevelop, foster and support a campus culture aligned to EWHS values in which people work together and support each other to deliver the highest quality of care to our consumersProvide leadership for innovation, change processes and co-ordinated responses to emerging service and workforce needsFacilitate and maintain effective communication with internal and external consumersLead and coordinate patient flow activities across EWHS acute, urgent care and residential aged care servicesMonitor daily bed occupancy, capacity and predicted demand across all campusesFacilitate timely admissions, transfers and dischargesWork collaboratively with Campus Managers, Nurse Unit Managers, Community Services and Allied Health to identify and resolve barriers to dischargeDevelop teamwork through leadership,



role modelling and effective communicationFacilitate the performance development and management of staff in collaboration with the DirectorsComply with all relevant external legislation and internal EWHS policies, procedures, and guidelines applicable to the role and organisationAbout youCurrent Nursing registration with the Australian Health Practitioner Regulation Agency (AHPRA)Relevant postgraduate qualifications or experience in management or a related fieldKnowledge of the National Safety & Quality and Aged Care Accreditation Quality Standards and ability to support theseA working knowledge of the principles of Victorian public sector acute and aged care funding principlesBroad clinical experience within a health care environmentDemonstrated experience in a leadership role with experience in workload management, performance management and critical and reflective thinking skills in decision making and problem solvingDemonstrated commitment to the process of quality improvement in support of a safe and positive consumer experienceDemonstrated experience in patient flow management, discharge planning, bed management, service coordination or operational leadership within a health service or willing to learnAlignment with the values and behaviours of the organisation and a commitment to model those behaviours and challenge others to do the sameAbout usEast Wimmera Health Service (EWHS) is a health service organisation providing clinical and aged care services across multiple campuses, including the St Arnaud campus.
