The City of Wanneroo is seeking an experienced and proactive Coordinator Financial & Strategic Accounting to lead our Financial & Strategic Accounting team and support the delivery of high-quality financial services across the organisation.This is an opportunity to make a meaningful contribution to the City's financial sustainability, strengthen financial processes and reporting, and lead a team that supports informed decision-making across a growing local government.What you will doReporting to the Manager Finance, you will lead and manage the Financial & Strategic Accounting team, balancing technical accounting responsibilities with people leadership and operational delivery.Key responsibilities include:Leading and managing the Financial & Strategic Accounting team to deliver effective, accurate and timely financial services.Applying specialist accounting knowledge to develop, implement and improve financial processes, systems and work practices.Supporting corporate financial reporting, planning, monitoring and analysis to meet organisational requirements.Identifying opportunities for continuous improvement, strengthening business processes and maintaining high standards of financial governance.Managing workflows, team performance and priorities to ensure work is completed safely, efficiently and to a high standard.Building effective relationships with internal and external stakeholders, including consultants, contractors, government agencies,
